Job Description

Genesis Employment Services Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Booking and Administration: Book in and out 3rd party hauliers, collect data, and maintain trailer security and temperatures.
  • Yard Operations: Coordinate yard movements and maintain all site safety and security controls for drivers and vehicles on site.
  • Driver Management: Brief and debrief company drivers, with continuous monitoring of drivers' working time and data input.
  • Scheduling and Monitoring: Schedule and monitor the vehicle delivery schedule in accordance with customer delivery requirements.
  • Cost Management: Work alongside the Team Leader to ensure that costs are managed in accordance with KPIs.
  • Vehicle Compliance: Maintain systems, controls, and regular checks on owned HGV vehicle compliance systems to ensure legality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Delegation: Deputize for the Traffic Manager where appropriate or delegated.

  • Technical Skills: Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Packages e.g. Excel, Word, Office.
  • Industry Knowledge: Transport industry knowledge is preferred but not required.
