About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial professional to join our team at BDO UK LLP. As an Actuarial Consulting Manager, you will play a key role in providing expert advice to our clients on a wide range of actuarial issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide actuarial advice and guidance to clients on matters such as assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance, and risk advisory.
  • Lead and manage actuarial projects, including actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams within BDO to deliver integrated services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring that clients receive the best possible advice.
Requirements
  • Actuarial qualification (e.g. FIA, FIAA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical actuarial knowledge, with experience in non-life insurance.
  • Proven experience in at least one of the following areas: reserving for accounting purposes, IFRS 17, risk management, data analytics, or pricing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
