We are seeking an experienced Strategic Safeguarding Coordinator to join Lewisham's Safeguarding Children Partnership. As a key member of the partnership, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of safeguarding services for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the development and implementation of the partnership's strategic business plan, ensuring alignment with local and national priorities.
  • Manage the partnership's operations, including the coordination of sub-groups and task forces.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of safeguarding services, including social care, health, and education.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including local authorities, health trusts, and voluntary sector organizations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the partnership's executive team, ensuring the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualification and/or substantial experience in the delivery of multi-agency services strategy and policy formation.
  • Substantial management experience of social care services for children or similar in Social Services or Health.
  • Significant experience of policy and procedure drafting and implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience of evaluation, quality assurance, and auditing of organizations.
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
