About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and confident Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our Sales and Marketing division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, ensuring a continuity of customer service, product packages, and individual offerings.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a diverse tourism business. They will also have experience in a management role, basic experience of bookkeeping and accounts, and highly developed numeracy, analytical, and literacy skills.

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for increasing sales through the development of packages and cross-departmental upselling, managing the Sales and Marketing team, and ensuring the safe gathering and retention of customer data.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing sales systems that ensure the accurate collection of customer information, recommending technology support to better aid the sales process, and training seasonal receptionist staff in the systems and procedures of the sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Sales and Marketing team to ensure a continuity of customer service, product packages, and individual offerings.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Manage the sales process, including customer interactions, sales forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a diverse tourism business.
  • Experience in a management role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Basic experience of bookkeeping and accounts.
  • Highly developed numeracy, analytical, and literacy skills.
  • Highly developed computer literacy and high competence in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as Google applications and ability to use software effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Empathy and alignment to the values and culture of the company.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the management and implementation of new technology and sales systems to deliver service improvement and efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with sales platform FuseMatix and Booin.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Experience of staff management and development.
  • Experience of working with different IT sales systems and website development.
  • Experience of integrating IT sales systems into company operations.
