Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced and confident individual to lead our Sales and Marketing division at an award-winning holiday destination in the Cairngorms National Park.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, overseeing all aspects of sales functions, and developing sales systems to ensure accurate customer information collection and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Sales and Marketing team to ensure continuity of customer service and product packages.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales through cross-departmental upselling and package development.
  • Ensure the safe gathering and retention of customer data, and the completion and storage of customer waivers for high-risk activities.
  • Train seasonal receptionist staff in sales systems and procedures.
  • Embed the company's vision into product offerings and work with other Heads of Department to develop business models with differing price points and service models.
  • Ensure two receptions are staffed 7 days a week and source and recruit a competent staff team to deliver excellent service.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a diverse tourism business.
  • Experience in a management role with at least a couple of staff.
  • Basic experience of bookkeeping and accounts.
  • Highly developed numeracy, analytical, and literacy skills.
  • Highly developed computer literacy and competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google applications.
  • Experience in integrated hotel booking and management systems, specifically working with and Air BnB.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Empathy and alignment to the company's values and culture.
Desirable:
  • Experience in the management and implementation of new technology and sales systems to deliver service improvement and efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with sales platform FuseMatix and Booin.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Experience of staff management and development.
  • Experience of working with different IT sales systems and website development.
  • Experience of integrating IT sales systems into company operations.
