We are seeking a dynamic Recruitment Strategist to lead our recruitment strategies and build strong candidate pipelines.

Job Overview

At Westland Insurance Group Ltd., we have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Strategist (hybrid) at our Head Office in Surrey, BC.

The estimated hiring range for this role is $93,600 to $117,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Financial assistance is available for approved work-related training/development courses leading to certification, and programs that offer professional development, including seminars and conferences.

You will partner closely with the Senior Director, People & Performance on various TA initiatives, including projects, driving continuous improvement in the TA function, data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and refine strategies to find top talent using advanced techniques and data analysis.
  • Develop robust talent pipelines for current and future needs, focusing on passive candidates and niche markets.
  • Mentor and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Partner with our 3rd party vendors to drive recruitment initiatives.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • A passion for leading and developing people, with 2 or more years of leadership experience.
  • Dedicated experience in sourcing, pipeline building, and talent scouting.
  • Successful experience in developing and implementing a sourcing Centre of Excellence in complex, high-volume, or specialized environments.
  • Experience leading impactful, recruitment-related projects and initiatives.
  • Influence without authority, troubleshoot effectively, and collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders across the business.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and innovation in talent acquisition.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with experience pulling, analyzing, and presenting data in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Natural relationship builder with previous experience working with applicant tracking systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
