About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our income management team as a Building Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our income collection processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met and their queries are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that income collection processes are efficient and effective, minimizing the risk of arrears and ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, building trust and confidence in our services.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation, ensuring that our services are compliant and effective.
Requirements
  • Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment or a similar background relevant to income collection.
  • Strong communication skills, with colleagues and customers alike, in an engaging and welcoming way.
  • A positive attitude and a consistent, engaged team player, proactive and able to prioritize your workload.
  • Good IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
