Personal Assistant for Young Adult with Learning Disability

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a 17-year-old young adult with a learning disability in Kippax, Leeds LS25.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will provide companionship and support to our young adult, enabling them to develop their independence skills and engage in activities they enjoy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany our young adult to boxing club every Friday night and explore other clubs and activities
- Support our young adult to try new things, such as rock climbing, and engage in social activities using public transport
- Assist with daily tasks and provide companionship during college holidays
- Help our young adult to develop their life skills and independence
Requirements:
- Good sense of humour and energy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities (desirable)
Working Hours:
6 hours per week – 3 hours on Friday, 3 hours on Saturday (8 hours per week in school holidays)
Rate of Pay:
£12.40 per hour
