Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Port of Dover. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of projects designed to deliver on our Port Wide Energy Strategy.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a live operational port environment, requiring a collaborative approach to be adopted between multiple stakeholders. The role will involve managing utility infrastructure projects from inception through to feasibility, design, and implementation, utilizing the NEC 3 suite of contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of construction projects, producing work/product breakdown structures and maintaining project programmes.
  • Collaborate with Contractors, Consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Produce and review CAD drawings and technical specifications, ensuring adherence to CDM regulations and relevant Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Manage a range of projects designed to protect existing operations and utilities network, and modernize and improve capacity through bringing in new HV capacity to the port.

Requirements

  • A degree in an appropriate related technical discipline or qualification/demonstrable experience.
  • Project Management qualification from APM or an alternative relevant professional organisation or demonstrable project management experience and a willingness to progress towards APM.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of managing and delivering utility infrastructure projects from inception through to feasibility, design, and implementation utilising the NEC 3 suite of contracts.
