Located in the heart of Dover, a bustling international Ferry port handling over 33% of the UK trade in goods and welcoming over 11 million passengers annually.

This fixed-term contract is for a period of six months, with a one-week on/off rotation. While living within commuting distance to Dover is ideal, accommodation can be provided for those who do not reside locally. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Master to ensure efficient vessel management.

• Assume responsibility for the vessel and crew safety in the Master's absence.

• Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment onboard.

• Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and addressing any hazards.

• Assist with administrative duties and bridge operations.

Certification and Experience Requirements:

• Hold an OOW Unlimited CoC issued by the MCA UK or UK FSE.

• Possess experience as a Tug Mate or similar role.

• Demonstrate good knowledge of the ISM code, Health & Safety, and Navigation principles.

• Sailing experience on Azimuth Stern Drive vessels is desired but not essential.

• Possess valid STCW certification and ENG1 medical.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be required to reside in the UK due to travel requirements.
