Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Systems Engineer to join our team at Net2Source Inc. as a Storage Management Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management & Execution: Design, implement, and manage storage systems to meet business requirements.
  • NetApp Data ONTAP Firmware Upgrades: Plan, execute, and validate firmware upgrades to ensure seamless operation.
  • NetApp Operations Manager (OM) Implementations: Install, configure, and manage OM to monitor and optimize storage performance.
  • Storage and Data Management System Monitoring: Use OM to monitor storage systems, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • On-Site Diagnostics and Hardware Replacement: Troubleshoot and replace hardware components as needed to ensure system uptime.
  • NetApp Global Support Center (GSC) Coordination: Collaborate with GSC to resolve technical issues and provide support to customers.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute test plans to ensure storage systems meet business requirements.
  • Regularly Scheduled Reviews: Participate in regular reviews with customers to discuss system performance and provide recommendations.
  • Documentation of NetApp Storage Environment: Maintain accurate documentation of storage systems, including configuration and performance data.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide Weekly Status Reports: Deliver written status reports to stakeholders on a weekly basis.
  • Daily Monitoring and Diagnostics: Perform daily monitoring and diagnostics to identify potential issues.
  • Local Point of Contact: Establish and maintain a local point of contact for NetApp support and returns.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, including assistance with NetApp support site and coordination with GSC.
  • Process and Product Maintenance: Analyze and report on process and product maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Case Trend Analysis: Analyze case trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactive Service Management: Provide proactive service management, including software and hardware release planning and bug analysis.
  • Software Patches and Field Alerts: Analyze and advise customers on software patches and field alerts.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Assist with disaster recovery planning, data archival planning, and data migration planning.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Analyze customer needs and recommend additional products and services to meet those needs.
  • Weekly Change Management Meetings: Participate in weekly change management meetings with customers.
  • NetApp Script Modifications: Assist customers in modifying NetApp scripts.
