Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Parts Advisor to join our team at Reed, working closely with our skilled HGV technicians. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for commercial vehicles and experience in the commercial vehicle parts industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Deal with all customer and internal parts needs promptly and courteously, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain awareness of customer needs and contribute to the dealership's customer experience index rating.
  • Trading Terms and Account Procedures: Adhere to trading terms and account procedures of the dealership.
  • Parts Handling: Check parts against delivery notes, bin accordingly, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
  • Display Management: Update displays, manage exchange and warranty units, and maintain a surcharge ledger.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit/debit card transactions in line with company policies.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter data on CRM systems and report any stock issues to the manager.
  • Stock Management: Assist in stock checks, pack and load parts correctly, and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Professional Image: Uphold the professional image of the brand and be flexible with working hours to suit business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Focus: Proactive approach to maintaining customer standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent telephone manner and attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CD-UK/Kerridge is essential, Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the truck industry.
  • Driving License: Full driving licence.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role within the truck or related industry.
