Metroline is a leading transportation company with a strong presence in the UK. As a Fleet Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is accurately documented and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the engineering budget, ensuring all operations are conducted within financial parameters.
  • Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for the procurement, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on vehicle availability, maintenance performance, budget adherence, and health, safety, and environmental metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the transportation industry.
  • Excellent understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures.
  • Bus bodywork repair/maintenance experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing industry demands and work under pressure.
  • Transport Manager CPC or willingness to work towards.
