Overstone Park School, a non-selective independent school in Northampton, is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Teaching Support Specialist. This position involves working closely with teachers and other staff to provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare or health and social care, with at least three years of experience working with children or in the care sector.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with students on an individual basis or in small groups, providing guidance and support as needed. They will also be responsible for visiting disengaged pupils at home to deliver tuition while parents are present. A key aspect of this role is prioritizing students who require additional support, particularly those experiencing multiple disadvantages.

This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work regular hours from 8 am to 4 pm, including paid holiday time. The salary for this role is estimated to be £23,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must possess a qualification in Level 2 or 3 in childcare or health and social care or above. Relevant training will also be provided.
