About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Policy Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract for up to one year. As a key member of our Planning Policy team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our ambitious plans for growth in Rutland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Local Plan, ensuring alignment with current planning issues and legislation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance our Planning Policy team, leveraging your expertise in planning policy and leadership skills.
  • Provide excellent customer care, communicating complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and delivering against objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in planning or a related subject, with eligibility for RTPI membership.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of current planning issues and legislation.
  • Practical experience working with Local Plans, Section 106, and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience with mapping and GIS tools.
