Job Title: Planning and Policy Officer

We are seeking an experienced Planning Officer to join our Planning Policy team on a fixed-term contract for up to one year.

The successful candidate will be passionate about planning positively for sustainable growth and will have a good knowledge and experience of current planning issues and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver against objectives and take responsibility for multiple projects
  • Work with Local Plans, Section 106, and the Community Infrastructure Levy
  • Use mapping and GIS tools to support planning decisions
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance planning policy and deliver the Local Plan
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level in planning or a related subject
  • Eligibility for membership of the RTPI
  • Strong IT skills and experience with mapping and GIS tools
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to work independently
