Leadership Role in Children's Residential Care

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to lead our team at a childrens home in Middlesex.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and inspection frameworks. They will also have experience supporting children with learning disabilities and communicating effectively to understand their wishes and feelings.
As a key member of the management team, you will assist the Registered Manager in maintaining the smooth and effective running of the home. You will be responsible for leading by example, managing and guiding the team to deliver exceptional care to children and young people.
The home provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, and we are seeking a dedicated individual who shares our values. You will ensure the home complies with regulatory requirements, including Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will also be required to step into the Managers role during absences, maintaining the home to a high standard. This will include overseeing staff rotas, training, supervision, and performance management.
A competitive salary of £35,000 per annum is offered for this role. Immediate start is available.
About You- You will have at least 2 years experience working in a childrens home, with supervisory responsibilities.
- You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People.
- You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and inspection frameworks.
- You will have experience supporting children with learning disabilities and communicating effectively to understand their wishes and feelings.
- You will possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Clearcare Solutions is advantageous.
- You will hold a full UK driving licence.
