Forensic Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Substance Misuse Practitioner to enhance our clinical offer within our new co-occurring dual diagnosis service. The successful candidate will work under the wider substance misuse team, providing a range of interventions to support individuals with co-occurring mental health and addiction needs.
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Substance Misuse Practitioner will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions. They will provide one-to-one and group facilitated sessions, managing a mixed and challenging caseload. The practitioner will also be expected to perform some clinical tasks, with full training provided, as directed.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of working in substance misuse or with offenders, with demonstrable experience in a supervisory/management role. They will also have a current knowledge of substance misuse issues and evidence of having studied at degree level in a relevant area or possess a professional qualification, such as a nurse or social worker.

Person Specification
- Current knowledge of substance misuse issues
- Evidence of having studied at degree level in a relevant area or possess a professional qualification
- Substantial experience of working in substance misuse or with offenders
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory/management role
