About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Forensic Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in enhancing our clinical offer within our new co-occurring dual diagnosis service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of interventions, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions, to support individuals with co-occurring mental health and addiction needs.
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, providing one-to-one and group facilitated sessions, and perform clinical tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring timely delivery of assessments and interventions.
  • Provide supervision to junior staff and receive supervision as directed, as well as providing peer support and training.
Requirements
  • Current knowledge of substance misuse issues and evidence of having studied at degree level in a relevant area or professional qualification (e.g., Nurse, Social Worker).
  • Substantial experience of working in substance misuse or with offenders, including demonstrable experience in a supervisory/management role.
  • Recognized qualification in delivery of psychotherapeutic interventions (desirable).
