About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rheumatology Consultant to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to research and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise in Rheumatology, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with various rheumatic conditions.
- Lead and manage clinical teams, including junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to research and education, including designing and leading studies, teaching, and mentoring.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including orthopaedic surgeons, medical specialists, and researchers.
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies to improve patient care and outcomes.
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration and GMC Licence to Practice.
- Medical Qualification and MRCP or equivalent.
- PhD, MSc, MD, or other higher degree (desirable).
- Clinical expertise in Rheumatology, including experience in leading teams, teaching, and research.
- Membership of relevant specialist associations (desirable).
