About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join our team as Patient Transport Service Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping NHS patients in your region by providing non-emergency transport to and from hospitals and other healthcare settings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide non-emergency transport for patients who are able to walk but may need assistance and are eligible for transport.
  • Transport patients to and from hospitals and other healthcare settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital wards, and life-saving treatments such as chemotherapy or renal dialysis.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to ensure patients receive the right response to their care needs as quickly as possible.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years old or over.
  • Hold a valid, full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
  • Have access to a car with four or more doors.
  • Have access to the internet and email.
  • Be willing to take part in all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Be a good communicator.
