At Unreal Gigs, we're seeking a skilled IoT Integration Specialist to join our team. As an IoT Integration Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between hardware, software, and cloud systems to create seamless IoT ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Integrate IoT Devices with Cloud Platforms:
  • Connect IoT devices to cloud services such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT, ensuring smooth data exchange, remote monitoring, and real-time device control using protocols like MQTT, CoAP, or HTTP.
Ensure Interoperability Between Devices and Systems:
  • Develop and implement solutions that allow diverse IoT devices to work seamlessly together, ensuring that devices from different vendors and with different communication protocols can integrate smoothly within the IoT ecosystem.
Collaborate on Edge Computing and Data Processing:
  • Implement edge computing strategies to process data closer to the devices, reducing latency and bandwidth use, and integrate edge devices with cloud platforms and design systems that handle real-time processing at the edge while managing long-term data storage in the cloud.
Optimize Connectivity and Performance:
  • Ensure efficient and secure device connectivity through wireless protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, and cellular networks, and troubleshoot connectivity issues, optimize data flow, and ensure that devices remain responsive and reliable.
Security and Compliance in IoT Integration:
  • Implement security best practices to protect IoT devices and networks from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks, and secure communication channels and manage encryption, authentication, and access control to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Create and Maintain APIs for IoT Integration:
  • Design and implement APIs that facilitate communication between IoT devices, cloud platforms, and third-party systems, ensuring that APIs are well-documented, scalable, and easy to integrate for developers and end-users.
Monitor and Troubleshoot IoT Systems:
  • Develop tools and dashboards to monitor the health and performance of IoT devices and networks, and ensure that devices are operating optimally, and troubleshoot any integration or connectivity issues as they arise, ensuring a smooth end-user experience.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • IoT Integration Expertise: Experience in integrating IoT devices with cloud platforms and edge computing systems, and knowledge of IoT protocols like MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP.
  • API Development and Management: Strong understanding of API design and management, including how to develop APIs for device-cloud communication, and knowledge of how to build scalable, secure, and well-documented APIs for integration.
  • IoT Connectivity and Wireless Protocols: Expertise in wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, and cellular networks, and knowledge of how to troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network performance for IoT devices.
  • Security and Compliance: Knowledge of IoT security practices, including encryption, secure device onboarding, and network protection, and familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, cloud architects, and software developers, and the ability to communicate integration requirements clearly and effectively.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree: In Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in IoT systems integration.
  • Certifications: Such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified IoT Professional (CIoTP), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience: In IoT integration, with hands-on experience connecting devices to cloud platforms and ensuring system interoperability.
  • Proven experience: Working with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms: (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT) and edge computing systems is highly desirable.
