Commis Chef Opportunity

Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer, is seeking an experienced or trainee Commis Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious education settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head or Sous Chef.
  • Contribute to the development and planning of menus, including future food trends and innovative service concepts.
  • Support stock management and maintain efficient running of the kitchen section.

Client Service Focus

  • Ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Provide a customer-focused approach, being approachable and responsive to customer needs.

Team Player and Professional

  • Collaborate with the team, assisting colleagues when necessary.
  • Treat colleagues with respect and professionalism.

Financial Management and Compliance

  • Understand food costing, sales mix, and menu planning principles.
  • Monitor and record stock, deliveries, and wastage in accordance with company and food standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of personal development, guided by the Sous or Head Chef, and attend relevant training sessions.
  • Embody company values in all aspects of the role, serving as a positive ambassador for the business.
