Job Title: Credit Control Manager

St Austell Brewery is seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our credit control team and collaborate with wider business stakeholders to ensure all teams are aligned in their objectives to minimize bad debt while maximizing profit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase successful collections on outstanding debt and improve efficiency in ways of working.
  • Establish effective partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders across the business.
  • Host regular debt review meetings with key stakeholders to ensure business leaders have visibility of the debt profile of their area and ensure a collaborative approach to resolving problematic accounts.
  • Analyze data and prepare detailed reports on the status of credit and collections, highlighting key metrics and areas of concern.
  • Lead, coordinate, and mentor the credit control team, setting clear objectives and performance standards and conducting regular team meetings.
  • Manage complex account queries and resolve or escalate problems as they arise.
  • Monitor outstanding debts, proactively contacting customers to ensure timely payments and negotiating debt repayment plans.
  • Oversight for assessing creditworthiness of new and existing clients to minimize financial risk.
About You:
  • Strong experience in credit control with substantial experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Experience using ERP accounting software.

This role can be based in our Head Office in St. Austell or Hare brewery site in Warmley, Bristol.
