Autism Support Assistant | Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in the academic development and in-school engagement of students with Autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and prepare materials to inspire individual learning and promote academic engagement.
  • Keep accurate records of pupil observations and provide feedback to parents.
  • Carry out general teaching assistant responsibilities in class as required.
  • Work under the supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers to provide effective support to students with Autism.
  • Provide a patient and calming presence to support students in building social confidence and academic engagement.
  • Participate in extensive in-house and external training to further develop your skill-set and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Psychology or related degree from a top UK University.
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not required.
  • Exhibit a patient and calming manner with the ability to support others.
