Job Summary

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Ophthalmology Consultant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly and forward-thinking team dedicated to providing high-quality care for our patients.

Main Duties of the Job

The holder will share clinical and managerial leadership within the Ophthalmology service with the present consultants.

The main duties of the post will include:

Supporting the provision of General Ophthalmology with a subspecialty interest complementary to the other consultants.

Delivery of outpatient clinics and day case surgery.

Urgent and Emergency Care duties including out-of-hours on-call; schedules will take due account of the provisions of working time regulations and safe working.

Core Supporting Professional Activities will be offered to the successful candidate for which appropriate objectives will be agreed in accordance with the Trust Framework and national Terms and Conditions of Service.
