Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Night Shift

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to young people, including key working and daily care activities.
  • Work collaboratively with young people, their families, social workers, and other agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans for young people transitioning to adulthood.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Perform administrative tasks and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities.
  • Support young people in taking responsibility for their lives, including planning and decision-making.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
  • Meet the daily needs of young people, including personal care and household responsibilities.
Household Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the household, including practical activities and equipment management.
  • Be accountable for allocated funds and report any issues or repairs.
Personal Development:
  • Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in residential child care, developing skills and knowledge through regular supervision and training.
Additional Requirements:
  • Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
  • Be willing to work at other properties as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people in an Ofsted-regulated environment.
  • Level 3 CYPW or above (or currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care).
  • Ability to drive.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
