We are seeking an experienced Bird Impact Specialist to join our client's internationally renowned consultancy based out of Belfast. This unique opportunity offers a chance to work on high-impact projects across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, residential, renewables, marine, and international projects. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to driving forward the consultancy's ornithology offering and play a vital role in shaping the future of ecological consulting.

This position is ideal for an experienced Ornithologist or Ecologist with a strong specialism in ornithology, possessing detailed knowledge of technical assessments underpinning ornithological work in large development projects and through the EIA and HRA processes. You should have a proven track record of supporting clients through devising and delivering survey programmes, developing mitigation, gaining agreement of regulators, and supervising implementation on-site. Additionally, experience in undertaking impact assessment in relation to bird populations on and off site for various projects across multiple sectors is essential. Project management, leadership, fee proposal, and tender experience, as well as line management and mentoring experience, are highly desirable skills for this role.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
