Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ecology Project Lead to join our dynamic Nature team in Belfast, Cork, Galway and Dublin. As an Ecology Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing and impact assessments for various clients across Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and managing projects, as well as reviewing technical work and supporting wider team members. A well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or at least one major habitat type or species is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ecological surveys, licensing and impact assessments for various clients across Ireland;
  • Oversee plan, schedule and organize all phases of ecological project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets and controls are in place to meet both programme and budget requirements;
  • Review technical work and support wider team members to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clients;
  • Support development of technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues;
  • Author or technically check project deliverables to ensure high quality outputs;
  • Contribute to the continued development of our technical capabilities and reach;

Requirements:

  • Degree in ecology, biology, environmental science or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecology, with a strong focus on project management and technical review;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality results;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Full driving license and willingness to visit other locations on company business;

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 - €100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
