Job Title: Community Paediatric Care Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking skilled Community Paediatric Care Assistants to join our team in Brighton. As a Community Paediatric Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to children and young people, addressing their complex clinical needs while offering practical assistance to their families.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to children and young people, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with sensitivity and expertise.
- Support children in accessing and participating in community activities, fostering social interaction and independence.
- Promote independence by encouraging children to achieve greater autonomy in their daily lives.
- Ensure safe administration of medication.
- Provide advanced clinical care, including but not limited to invasive/non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, nebuliser treatment, and seizure management.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children and young people (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided).
- A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
