Job Description: Credit Control Specialist Care Sector

A salary of up to £28,500 per year is available for the successful candidate.

Main Accountabilities
  • Support the Sales Ledger by conducting weekly and monthly reconciliations for Local Authorities.
  • Manage resident admissions and discharges, updating contract terms as necessary.
  • Reconcile income on a timely basis, monitoring overdue balances and issuing reminders as required.
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure timely payments.
  • Manage a shared inbox for customer queries, invoices, and statements, ensuring prompt communication.
  • Perform daily account and bank statement reconciliations using Sage 200.
  • Regularly review accounts for potential bad debt, updating the Financial Controller accordingly.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum GCSE in English and Maths (A-C grade or equivalent).
  • At least one year of experience in credit control or accounting within a high-transaction environment; care sector experience is a plus.
  • Strong reconciliation skills, proficient in MS Office (Excel), and experience with Sage 200 is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritisation skills, a strong team player, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
