Job Description

Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

Job Summary:

MM Flowers is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing systems and processes to support our rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply chain function, including logistical planning, supply, storage, and delivery of raw materials and finished goods to site.
  • Plan, monitor, analyze, and communicate logistic activities to senior operations and planning teams to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Support the Leadership Team to drive company operational performance and capability.
  • Partner with internal planning, commercial, operational, and technical colleagues to identify and leverage opportunities for improved performance and relationships.
  • Manage a team, including talent and performance management.
  • Provide a clear direction for the Warehouse and Logistics function.
  • Prepare regular reports and KPIs, compiling data from direct reports.
  • Continuously monitor and report on the suitability and robustness of our Warehousing systems.
  • Work with the wider business team and external suppliers to implement Warehouse management systems.
  • Work with 3rd party logistics and fulfillment providers to ensure a market-leading service and customer experience is delivered.
  • Establish suitable providers of logistics services as we expand into other markets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics operations management, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Warehouse management systems.
