The Diocese of Chichester Association is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as the Academic Governance Specialist. This role is responsible for providing expert advice and support to headteachers and school governors on matters related to school admissions, governance, and compliance.

As an experienced education professional, you will have a deep understanding of education legislation and regulation, particularly in relation to Church Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. Your ability to plan and deliver high-quality training to governors and headteachers will be essential in this role.

We are looking for someone who is committed to the aims and ethos of the Diocese of Chichester and can effectively communicate its vision to stakeholders. A strong educational background, preferably with experience as a school governor, is also required.

This is a part-time position, with a salary of £42,500 per annum (pro-rata) and flexible working hours. The successful candidate will be able to work from home and have access to development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of education legislation and regulation, including Admissions and Governance for Church Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to establish effective relationships with various stakeholders.

The role involves working closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Education to address leadership and management issues in schools. You will be expected to travel around the Diocese, occasionally work evenings, and weekends.
