Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

About the Role:

  • Responsible for leading test and commissioning activities of on-board electrical systems.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Instruct and mentor team members within your knowledge and competency.
  • Research and review technical design documentation and create test documentation.
  • Keep accurate records of work activities as required by policy and legislation.
  • Represent the company on contractors' sea trials and other outworking requirements.
  • Deliver assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures, and legislation.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation system operations.
  • Experience in commissioning complex systems, power plants, motors, and high-voltage systems.
  • Ability to write and issue rip-out documentation and identify correct isolations to safety isolate ship systems.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and activities required for specific tests.
  • Understanding of safety controls and procedures in a high-risk environment.
  • Awareness of Nuclear Site/Autorisation Conditions.
  • Experience working with distribution systems, fire protection systems, and electrical testing.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems, including electrostatic discharge, low-voltage control, data communications, PLCs, and fibre optics.
