As a Heavy Plant Business Development Executive at Reed, you will play a key role in promoting and selling a wide range of plant and material handling equipment to a diverse customer base across various industries, including but not limited to:
- Agriculture
- Construction
- Timber
- Oil & Gas
- Manufacturing
**Key Responsibilities**
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to identify new business opportunities and increase sales.
• Generate and pursue new business sales opportunities through effective marketing and sales strategies.
• Provide technical advice and solutions tailored to customers' specific needs, conducting site surveys to identify equipment specifications.
• Develop comprehensive proposals and present recommendations to customers through meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to stay up-to-date on product knowledge and attend training courses to enhance skills.
**Requirements and Skills**
• Possess a strong motivation with excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop commercial and business awareness.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop solid business arguments.
• Effective planning and organization skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hold a full clean UK driver's license.
• A proven sales record in a similar environment is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
