About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced theatre practitioner to join our team as Interim Senior Charge Nurse/Senior Charge ODP to support maternity cover. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for the daily management of General/Thoracic theatres, ensuring patients receive a high standard of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team within theatres, developing close links with areas such as Critical Care to enable smooth patient flow and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Manage the provision of complex Lung Cancer surgery services using the pioneering DaVinci robot.
  • Develop and implement quality, evidence-based care practices, demonstrating a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital, particularly in relation to the expansion of the theatre department.
