Main ResponsibilitiesThe role requires delivering high-standard holistic care to all babies allocated to you, maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures, and ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework.
You will be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration, and championing service user safety and dignity. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement and work in partnership with families to provide excellent care.

Our 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital, delivering excellent care for children and families.
Requirements- NMC registration RN / RSCN/RM
- Neonatal Intensive Course
- Evidence of continuous professional development within the speciality linked to demonstrable clinical competencies
- Student supervision and assessment qualification
Desirable qualifications include a degree in a health-related subject and NLS provider certification.
Skills and Abilities- Neonatal nursing skills, including caring for babies receiving ITU/HDU level of care
- Administering medication under patient group/specific directives
- Administration of IV Drugs
- Ability to delegate and prioritise
- Able to work across professional teams and organisational boundaries
- Able to problem solve and initiate change
- Shift leading skills, including ability to motivate and lead a small group of nurses
- Teaching/training skills, including preceptorship skills
- Effective managerial, leadership, and organisational skills
- Holistic understanding of neonatal nursing and relevant specialist skills and abilities to work in partnership with families
Desirable skills include interviewing skills and experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints.
