About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Shires - Oakham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with Autism and complex needs to achieve their Education Health Care Plan outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with Autism and complex needs in a small class environment
  • Work closely with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students to help them navigate their lives
  • Assist with the delivery of a specialist curriculum tailored to meet the needs of our students
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to supporting our students
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
  • Experience working with students with Autism and complex needs
  • Ability to work in a small class environment with a high staff-to-pupil ratio
