Job Title: Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children in our Paediatric High Dependency Unit.

About the Role

As a Paediatric Nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care to children with complex medical needs. You will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, planning and implementing programmes of care, and evaluating care outcomes. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and maintain high-quality records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children in our Paediatric High Dependency Unit.
  • Assess patient care needs, plan and implement programmes of care, and evaluate care outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain high-quality records and contribute to the development of the team.
Requirements
  • Registered Paediatric or Adult Nurse on the NMC register.
  • Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC.
  • Experience of working with children in an acute secondary NHS care setting or emergency care/critical care setting.
  • Ability to work a varied shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
