Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our High Dependency Unit (HDU) team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will deliver high standards of care to children and young people who require HDU level care and higher levels of nursing interventions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care to children and young people and their families/carers
  • Contribute to the achievement of local (ward) and Trust-wide objectives
  • Supervise and teach junior staff and students, and take charge of the ward in the absence of senior colleagues
  • Adhere to Trust policies and procedures

  • NMC Registration
  • RN Child Qualification
  • Experience in an acute paediatric setting
  • Demonstrate alignment with the values and beliefs of the Trust
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the practices of equality and inclusion
  • Understand the importance of effective team working
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Demonstrate conduct and behaviours in keeping with the NMC Code
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
