Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to head up the commercial function on a mixture of brand-new residential developments in the Shrewsbury area. As an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications, managing project costs, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.


Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct detailed take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications.
  • Manage project costs, from initial calculations to final accounts.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information.
  • Provide financial reporting, including cost control and cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contract terms.

Requirements and Qualifications


We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with different departments and work independently.
