We are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Associate to lead our Vitreoretinal Research Group at the University of Cambridge. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to cutting-edge research and establish themselves as a leading expert in inherited vitreoretinopathies and their surgical management.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmology, including GMC registration, a license to practice, medical defense cover, and extensive post CCT fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery. They will also have an outstanding track record of research and publishing high-quality papers in ophthalmology.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement research projects in Vitreoretinal surgery, focusing on inherited vitreoretinopathies and their surgical management.
  2. Recruit, train, and mentor researchers to ensure the continued growth and success of the Vitreoretinal Research Group.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a leading research presence within the University of Cambridge.
  4. Participate in clinical service delivery under an honorary consultant contract with Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust.

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum will be offered, based on experience.
