About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist to join our team in East Sussex, working in both specialist optometric clinics and extended roles within ophthalmology clinics.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a varied workload, including specialist optometry clinics and extended ophthalmology roles. They will work closely with consultant ophthalmologists, associate specialists, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Training and support will be provided as required, and we welcome optometrists from community settings who may be interested in transitioning to hospital work.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Optometrist with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
  • Previous experience of working in specialist clinical areas, providing expert opinion and contributing to service development
  • Basic level IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
