About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist to join our team in East Sussex. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will work in both specialist optometric clinics and extended roles within ophthalmology clinics.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a varied workload, including specialist optometry clinics and extended ophthalmology roles. You will work closely with consultant ophthalmologists, associate specialists, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Training and support will be provided as required, and we welcome optometrists from the community setting who may be interested in training into hospital work.

Requirements
  • Qualified Optometrist with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
  • Previous experience of working in specialist clinical areas, providing expert opinion and making contributions to service development
  • Basic level IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
