About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist to join our team in East Sussex, working in both specialist optometric clinics and extended roles within ophthalmology clinics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients in specialist optometric clinics, including medical contact lenses, refraction, and low vision.
  • Work in extended ophthalmology roles, such as AMD, glaucoma, cataract, and intravitreal injections.
  • Develop and implement training programs for pre-registration optometrists and junior doctors.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Optometrist with GOC registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Previous experience of working in specialist clinical areas, providing expert opinion and contributing to service development.
