About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to work with schools, Local Authorities, and Virtual Schooling Teams in Cramlington and across Northumberland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with young people who struggle with their mental health, and a certificate in education or above.

We offer flexibility to suit your needs, with tuition taking place within school hours or early evening, online or in person.

We will work with stakeholders to find the perfect environment for you and the young person.

The individual must be good at working independently when tutoring off-site, therefore it is vital that they are organised, punctual, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality tuition to students with SEMH and SEN needs
  • Work collaboratively with schools and Local Authorities to develop effective learning plans
  • Provide support and guidance to students, promoting their emotional and academic well-being
  • Contribute to the development of a strong, professional, and reliable team in Cramlington
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Tutoring experience
  • Patient, empathetic, and creative approach
  • Experience working with SEMH and SEN students
  • A valid Right to Work
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or the ability to complete one
  • A minimum of two references to cover the last two years of employment
