NEC is a leading provider of healthcare services, committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are currently seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team in the diabetic eye screening programme.
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work with us as a Medical Imaging Assistant, supporting our screeners in clinics throughout the area. You will be responsible for photographing patients' eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy, working closely with our experienced team to deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist screeners in running local clinics, taking photographs of patients' eyes and maintaining accurate records
- Develop strong relationships with patients, providing empathetic and supportive care
- Work effectively in a pressured environment, prioritising tasks and managing your time efficiently
- Support training and development of new staff members, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs including grades A-C in English, Maths, and a Science subject or equivalent
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (as travel may be required)
