About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals who have co-occurring mental health and substance misuse concerns.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage substance misuse clients using harm minimisation approaches, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing.
  • Provide mental health care and treatment according to clinical needs and evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with community mental health services and participate in ongoing assessments, screening, care planning, and support for individuals with co-occurring substance misuse and mental health issues.
  • Deliver interventions to meet the needs of patients and connect them to community resources for recovery and independence.
  • Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering safe and effective treatment for patients with substance misuse and mental health needs.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification and registration from a recognised body.
  • Post-basic education in the area of practice to postgraduate diploma level.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and Capacity Act.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £35,922 to £43,257 per annum (pro rata if part-time) and a supportive work environment.
