Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer

Tripod Social Care is seeking an experienced and skilled Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Hertfordshire. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chair reviews for CLA young people, including administrative tasks, and monitor progression of care plans for allocated young people.
  • Participate in team meetings, the duty system, and the first review system.
  • Attend supervision monthly and travel as required to see young people and attend reviews county-wide and beyond.
  • Highlight any drift in care planning and raise escalations as appropriate.
  • Ensure young people have the opportunity for an independent IRO visit at least annually.
  • Undertake any audit work requested.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
  • Commitment to promoting social change, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and maximising independence.
