**About the Role:** We are looking for a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the charity's finances, managing a finance assistant, and deputising for the Director of Finance.

The ideal candidate will have good experience in a similar role and be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent). They will need to be able to produce accurate and timely reports, develop cost and analysis models, and manage the charity's financial record-keeping and reporting systems.

The salary for this role is £35-42k + benefits, depending on experience. If you are a practising Christian who assents to the charity's statement of Faith, we encourage you to apply.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate and timely reports, including monthly management accounts, highlighting any critical issues or potential problems to senior management.
  • Developing cost and analysis models to support the charity's financial planning and budgeting process.
  • Managing the charity's financial record-keeping and reporting systems, including preparation of monthly journals, correction of mis-postings, and regular scrutiny of nominal ledger accounts.
  • Working with the People team to prepare payroll on a monthly basis for the charity's employees, providing pension information to the pension provider, dealing with queries, preparing and distributing year-end returns and reconciliations after approval.
  • Entering donations onto Sage, reconciling Sage records to the CRM database on a monthly basis, and managing bank transfers to suppliers and staff as required.
